Residential Finish Carpenter

Location: New Martinsville, WV

Middletown Homes is hiring an experienced Residential Finish Carpenter to support finish work on modular and manufactured homes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong carpentry background who takes pride in clean, accurate work and can handle a variety of interior construction tasks.

Our team builds and completes homes for customers throughout West Virginia, with a focus on quality, dependability, and practical craftsmanship. We are looking for someone who can work independently, stay organized on the job, and help ensure each home is completed to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Complete interior finish carpentry on new and existing homes
• Install and repair trim, baseboards, molding, doors, and related finish details
• Perform drywall repairs and basic finish work as needed
• Assist with flooring installation and repairs, including vinyl, tile, and carpet
• Support punch-list completion, touch-ups, painting, and general carpentry tasks
• Assist with basic plumbing-related tasks when needed
• Follow project timelines and quality standards
• Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized
• Work indoors and outdoors depending on project needs
• Travel occasionally within North Central West Virginia for job assignments

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of carpentry, finish carpentry, remodeling, or related residential construction experience
• Experience with trim, doors, flooring, drywall repair, and general finish work
• Ability to read work instructions, follow direction, and complete tasks with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical construction work
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to reliably get to the New Martinsville location and assigned job sites
• Willingness to travel occasionally for projects; lodging and per diem are provided when overnight travel is required
• Employment is contingent on meeting applicable company hiring requirements, including any legally permitted post-offer screening
